P O Das Pfauengrammophon ist eine Produktion der Ludwigsburger Firma Prewo & Witte. Ein handelsübliches Grammophon wurde für das "Musikhaus Max Osterode, Stuttgart und Frankfurt" zu einem auffallenden und dekorativen Objekt umgebaut. Bei der Inbetriebnahme rotiert ein Kegel, der an der Stelle des Pfauenschwanzes sitzt. Weißes, von innen beleuchtetes Glas mit aufgemalten Pfauenaugen spiegelt sich in den Facettenspiegeln des Schalltrichters, sodass das Bild eines radschlagenden Pfaus entsteht. Das Grammophon war für ein Lokal oder Café eine preiswerte Alternative zu einem Pianisten oder einer Tanzkapelle. Der Münzeinwurf bot eine sichere Einnahmequelle und das auffallende Äußere steigerte die Attraktivität des Lokals.
