"South-west of Weingarten, in the “Dörnig”, there is a tumulus cemetery encompassing an area of 500 m[J2]; it consists of around 50 mounds dating to the Bronze and Iron Ages and has been known since the end of the 19th century. Mound 18 had a diameter of approx. 15 m and was difficult to recognise in the terrain at the time of the excavation. At a depth of 65 cm a southeast-northwest oriented burial in supine extended position was detected. It was furnished with some pieces of bronze jewellery and two lignite arm rings.
